ABOUT SEQUOIA

Sequoia was named after the giant Sequoia tree which is one of the oldest living organisms on earth. Designed with an emphasis on space, privacy and comfort, she is a modern take on the classic sailing yacht. Sequoia features three generous suites surrounded by ocean, an intimate and cozy great room, a spacious sky deck, and plenty of areas to lounge. Every detail has been handmade by local artisans, and/ or handpicked with sustainability in mind.

Sequoia – Authentically Indonesian

This handcrafted 86-feet (26-meter) yacht was designed as an heirloom, for the enjoyment of generations to come. It is primarily a motorboat powered by John Deere but also has auxiliary Doyle sails. She is a modern take on the classic sailing yacht and offers state of the art American engine and electrical systems. Custom-designed light fixtures illuminate the night sky, as well as underwater lighting to see the magical sea below. The design emphasizes space, privacy and comfort. Here, East meets West with modern, custom-made amenities, melded with an Indonesian tropical, island style designed to make you feel at home.

Sequoia combines the best aspects of traditional Sulawesi hull construction, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, with the most advanced marine machinery, hardware, and electronics to produce this remarkable vessel. A focus on advanced technology increases comfort and safety for the guests. At the same time, all installed components are rated at the lowest level of emissions per US Environmental Protection Agency guidelines.

No single-use plastics or palm oil products are used on board Sequoia.

Sequoia has an all Indonesian crew of ten, including a cruise manager, butler, and dive master, providing intimate knowledge of the islands and scuba reefs. Your host and owner, Yessi Sari spent four years overseeing the bespoke build, with two goals in mind: building a family yacht for safe and comfortable sea safaris within the Indonesian Coral Triangle and to become the first female Indonesian Cruise Director.

LIFE ON BOARD
Designed with an emphasis on space, privacy and comfort, Sequoia features three generous suites surrounded by ocean, an intimate and cozy great room, a spacious sky deck, and plenty of areas to lounge. Every detail has been handmade by local artisans, and/ or handpicked with sustainability in mind.

On the Bow Deck, the open deck area in front of the wheelhouse is perfect for sunbathing or reading. You can also sit up in front and enjoy the breeze while Sequoia sails on to the next destination.

The Great Room is a large open-air style room is surrounded by 20 handmade teak-louvered doors. The focal point is a luxurious, teak dining table, where family and friends will gather for meals, conversation and fun. An added feature is our the unique beverage center, where fresh tropical juices, cocktails and delicious drinks are made according to your desire. The brilliant Awlwood custom finish brings this beautiful wood to life.

The Sky Deck is 12 x 6 meters platform that offers endless vistas- from sunrise to sunset. You can enjoy drinks and meals at the large central table or relax under one of the two clamshell day beds. It is the ultimate venue to enjoy dinner and gaze at the stars into the midnight blue.

ACCOMMODATION
Sequoia offers three exquisite cabins. Each cabin is equipped with modern amenities including HD flat-screen TV, Bluetooth speaker, and a beautiful en suite bathroom, ensuring a comfortable and stylish retreat throughout your voyage aboard Sequoia.

The sky suite, located on the upper deck, boasts modern elegance with a teak and woven rattan king bed, complemented by Belgian linens or Egyptian cotton of your choice. Featuring a frosty Carina Caesarstone wall and Hansgrohe Axor fixtures, the suite exudes sophistication.

The island suite pays homage to Indonesia’s rich diversity, featuring intricately hand-carved furnishings and luxurious en-suite bathroom with Caesarstone finishes.

Equally inviting, the ocean suite resembles a luxury tree-house with teak walls and ironwood floors, offering a custom-designed king bed convertible into twin beds.

DINING
Chef Petty Elliot collaborated with Sequoia to create a unique menu with Indonesian flare from the finest locally sourced seasonal ingredients. You will be served with dishes that are, meticulously prepared, artfully presented and utterly delicious. The cuisine of Sequoia promises to be an exhilarating, one of a kind dining experience. You may choose to dine in the spectacular great room, al fresco in our sky deck, or on any number of beautiful island beach settings. Our chefs will create sumptuous breakfasts, comfort foods for lunch or snack, delights with sunset tea, cocktails before fine dining, and dinners and dessert. Sequoia’s focus is to create delectable food using locally sourced ingredients, which sometimes can only be found, on one single island.. Sequoia adheres to a ‘no one time use plastic’ policy.
